Hi, I just stumbled onto this site. I've been thinking about growing a little, and it looks like there is a lot of good info here. I want to start out small, and inexpensively. Probably just a couple of plants with a light and a timer, and see where I go from there.

Welcome aboard there AlloyGT, If you want to go cheaply then think of CFL for your lights. -
For under 60 bucks I got two led light panels approx. 1'x1'x2" with hangers. I have a train wreck under 2 CFL's a300w and a 250w which delivers full spectrum. The led has one plant under it and is doing well but the final call will have to wait. It's all fun, jump in - lot's of opinions out there and some real good advice - by the way the leds are china made but I'm not glowing yet - slo-hanComment
