  • Medical Marijuana for Chronic Pain

Hi everyone. My name is Albert. I feel very lucky to be a part of this forum. Does anyone have any experience or know something about medical marijuana and its potential treatment for neuropathy or chronic pain? I currently suffer from chronic pain in my right foot. I appreciate anyone's input regarding this. Thank you!

Hello Albert. Welcome to the forum.
For dealing with chronic pain most users say that heavy indica dominant strains work best. Or marijuana products like oil or other edibles. These can tend to be quite strong and might be a bit much if you are not used to it. Are you a pot smoker anyway?
Some of the CBD rich strains can also be of use and may not spin your head quite so much. Have a look at organisations like CBD Crew in Europe or 303 Seeds in the states (Colorado). These organisations specialise in medical marijuana strains and can help with what you are looking for.
Are you thinking about growing your own medicine or just looking for information on what kind of weed might help?
There are some members on the forum who use weed to help them with pain. I hope they can help you further.
    All the best.

Hi Roofie. Thanks for your reply. I have never smoked pot before. I am willing to try marijuana in an edible form. I currently live in North Carolina but may be relocating to California some time in 2016. Obviously, I may have to wait until I move to California to start treatment. I assume they have everything you mention above. I appreciate your help. All the best.

Hi Albert, I use CBD oil or concentrate to help with chronic back and joint pain. I was a pot smoker for 20+ years but it takes so much and you end up getting really high to get rid of the pain. CBD oil I make myself does have some THC but quickly and effectively provides relief without having to also get real high. It's all a pretty complicated process but 1 good plant can produce enough for almost a years worth of treatment for 2 people. A much better alternative than staying pumped up with pills and things. It goes in my vape pen and takes care of me all day incognito. A goo seed site will tell you % of THC and CBD from each strain. I ended up getting a few that were low to moderate in THC while being the highest I could find in CBD. These were Medical, Industrial, and Diesel. So far the Industrial is the most hearty and easiest to manage growing in my DWC setup. Hope this helps!
