Jock Horror to Bloom today. Day 62

It has gotten really nasty outdoors, here. With the next few days showing the same, rain and wind. So I have no other choice but putting her to Bloom, indoors under the 1200mx LED. She has gotten about 28 inches tall and a spread of 24 inches wide, from leaf tip to tip. 2 toppings and 1 fimming. So now she will have 5 or 6 tops and will grow a~little on the bushy side, instead of taller and christmas tree shaped.

She got a flush yesterday and I will start her on Bloom nutes in 3-4 days, depending on how long she takes to dry~out some. My guess she will be done real close to Christmas time, Wow what a present to myself. Yum!!!

Haha! It will be a happy Christmas in your house. Looking forward to seeing some pics of this bloom. You're certainly getting your moneys worth out of that LED. Keep it up fella.

Are you just thinking about starting a grow? Or do you already have plants growing? and if so, what strain and how old are they, now? A couple questions I would need to know before I could answer your question. Normally these types of questions are asked in the introduce yourself section, not in the middle of someone's grow journal. but if your growing right now, I'll be happy to help if I can.

            Day 62

Right at first day of Bloom. I forgot to add these photo's to my last post. I took these right after I got her into grow area and after a good flush. I will start her on small amounts of Bloom nutrients when she dries out some, in like 3-4 days.
She is now on 12/12 lighting schedule.

              Bloom Week 1

Started her off on 1/2 scoop of green light super bloom (12-55-6) to 2 gallons of aireated (bubbled), heated water, heated to 88 degrees. I use a heating rod called Aqua heat to heat the water so as to not be as big a shock to the plants. She is on the same lighting schedule as her big sis, 4 hours of all around direct sunlight and 8 hours under the LED to give her 12 hours total in her 12/12 light period.

                Bloom Week 1.5

Her comes those flowers, YES! Still feeding 3/4 scoop of green light super bloom to 2 gal. bubbled, heated water. Lighting still on same schedule., with 8 hours under LED and 4 hours of all around direct sunlight for her 12/12 light period. Keeping tops of plant 7-9 inches from LED. 4 hours of direct sunlight is scheduled at end of light period. That is when the sun is hitting the plant at full strength, bathing her with good strong all over sunlight.

I am still getting nice sunny day's here in the first week of October and will continue her on this schedule until the weather changes. Grow room temp. at 74 degrees. Over night lows outdoors at 40 degrees. Outdoor highs today expected to reach 72 degrees, here. Beautiful sunny day's forecasted for the next week. These photo's were taken yesterday morning and after seeing this plant this morning the bud sites have doubled in size, yah, amazing.

                      High Schmokin!

The stretch meaning length of colas? If so about 14-18 inches long, or there abouts if all goes well. Hopefully.

                        Bloom Week 2.5

All is well here with this plant. She is growing rapidly and her branches have grown well out past the rim of her container. The weight of her bud sites have already started to cause her branches to droop.

So I have staked her using bamboo stakes and twist ties. This is a 'how to website' so I will show those who have never staked before, how I do this.

                        Plant before stakes.

I carve one end of the stake to a point, so that it minimizes the damage to the roots as i push it down into the container, to the bottom for maximum support. I will tie, twist tie to the stake, first.

Then bring branch to the stake, and tie it, twisting the ends after wrapping tie around the branch.

That's all there is too it, easy. Now those branches can fill with flowers (Buds), and will be well supported.

Here is what she looks like with her stakes added. She now is ready for all the weight that will cause those branches to sag and become a problem later on in the grow.

Opps! only allowed 5 photo's per post.

Outdoor photo's of her with all the stakes inserted into her containers. She hopefully will now be ready to Bloom away, with no problems supporting the weight of her branches from further bud production.

Indoor photo's under 1200mx Led. Feeding Green Light super bloom 12-55-6 and alternating with Fox Farms cha ching 9-50-10 and FF tiger bloom 2-8-4. This plant is now 13 inches from bottom of the light. Intake 16inch fan on low. No exhaust needed because Temp. in room remains at 78 degrees during light indoor period. Here are some photo's of her under LED. Some Photo's without LED lighting and some with different light settings. Some with camera flash only. Bud sites are increasing in size almost daily. Good growth so far. Temp. during dark period drop to 65 degrees without needing warming in grow area for past couple weeks.

                                Bloom Week 3

Had a scare with white patches showing up on 4-5 leafs, so after increasing her nutrients, slightly all patches have gone. She just needed to be fed more.

She has taken off and started growing like crazy. I backed her down away from LED to 17 inches. Because this full spectrum LED is really putting out the light, It even came with safety shade glasses.

I am leaving her indoors from now till harvest, only bringing her outdoors to fed and drain as the weather here allows. Overnight outdoor low temp. here, last night was 34*f. Grow room temp. remains a steady 81*f, with light as the only heat source.

Photo's were taken outdoors while feeding.
