  • MMJ and Auto-Immune Diseases

Does anybody have any experience of using cannabis for relief from symptoms of autoimmune disease?

I'm thinking in terms of Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Behcets Disease - stuff like that. I suppose it goes without saying that I suffer from one of these disorders (Behcets) which leads to painful joints, mouth ulcers (and ulcers in some very unfortunate places!), skin eruptions and a whole host of other stuff.

I'd love to hear from anybody using MMJ to help with stuff like this.

        Hi Emma-

I use marijuana for Ulcerative Colitits and have found it extremely helpful. I smoke one joint every other day. (I can't take the side effect getting stoned more often than that). You can read about my results (really a log of smoking and bowel movements) on my blog: ucandpot.blogspot.com.

Before Few months my friend have autoimmune disease. He have pain with join and also big cough. Radiation of the lymph nodes and plasmapheresis are other ways of treating an autoimmune disease and If your autoimmune disease symptoms bother you, your doctor may suggest treatments that can provide some relief.

The immune system normally protects the body from infections and disease brought about by bacteria, viruses, germs, or abnormal body cells. When an autoimmune disease develops, the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys its own tissues and organs. Most autoimmune diseases cannot be cured, although much can be done to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life. The treatment of an autoimmune disease depends on the symptoms associated with a specific disease.

              Crohns disease

Has anyone experience with Crohns disease and Medical Marijuana. I would appreciate hearing about whether anyone found it helpful ... Or not. Crohns is frequently classified as an autoimmune disease.

I have Crohns Disease and it (marijuana) helps me GREATLY, not only with the intestinal cramping, but for FINALLY allowing me to have a NORMAL bowel movement.
(gross, I know, but those with IBD KNOW what I am talking about)
Too bad I don't live in a medicinal state.....I just might move to one though.

I JUST posted a reply before I read this......
I have used it a few times, it eases the spasms, cramping, and COMPLETELY STOPS diarrhea.
I was very surprised to FINALLY have a "normal" bowel movement after 14 YEARS.

I noticed that when I smoke weed I fell asleep, depression is entirely help, but I have not noticed that my autoimmune disease.

Possible conditions that will be reviewed include auto immune diseases, the State of Colorado recognizes its use for the following: cancer, glaucoma, HIV or AIDS positive, or medical conditions causing cachexia, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures and muscle spasms.

I have crohn's disease also. I was diagnosed last december. The use of marijuana for me has put it into a fast remission. I feel like it had given me a part of my life back that I havnt had in a while. I have had my card now for a little over two months now. I was accepted very prompt I was surprised.

                            RE: Auto Immune Disease

I have a fatal immune disease (scleroderma), I am waiting for the dispensaries to open here in NJ. There are 6 that should be open by the end of summer. I have had cervical surgery also which causes chronic pain. I live on SSDI and don't think I will be able to afford to buy it. The registration fee is $200, I can get $20 off this amount
because I am low income. I was told it would help me, but if it doesn't will I be stuck with all the costs. Is anything refundable??

I have been smoking weed occasionally and now decided to give it a try for medical usage as I have Crohn's. Kiwiseeds suggest me to grow Mako Haze for that. I will leave a reply about my experience with Mako.
