Hi all,
I recently came across this article, http://www.defencegroup.ca/blog/in-the-news/the-upcoming-legalization-of-marijuana/.
Has anyone heard about this? It is regarding the upcoming Legalization of Marijuana in Canada. An important component of this new legislation is to restrict youth access to marijuana and push organized crime out of the cannabis business. And accordingly, the new legislation will allow adults who are 18 years or older to possess up to 30 grams of dried cannabis or the equivalent in a non-dried form and share up to 30 grams of cannabis with other adults. However, those who were convicted in the past for marijuana related offenses will continue to have a criminal record.
It is said that the police spend almost $3 billion every year to investigate marijuana offenses. And despite these efforts, teenagers in Canada continue to be amongst the heaviest users of cannabis.
What do you all think about this?
