It won't hurt, although leaving it until just before harvest means that it probably won't make much difference at all. Mostly people do it to allow light to reach some of the lower bud sites.
How long until harvest?

Was just curious as I had heard of a friend doing that, some time ago.

Is it a good idea? Will it kick final resin production into high gear? Not all of them but maybe half? Thanks
