Cloning in rock wool

I have some clones in rock wool cubes and the roots are popping out of the top of the cube. Can i transplant and provide the moisture from below the cube in my netcups, or do i need to do something different such as pull them out of the cubes and into a different cube? Will the roots start to work there way back down through the cube?

I'd say that as long as there are nutrients and moisture available it will grow just fine.
