    But before I go further, one other piece of good advice.

    1) WHEN WORKING WITH ELECTRONIC DEVICES, ALWAYS GROUND YOURSELF! That means connecting your body to the water tap via a piece of wire. A banana plug in the ground of a wall outlet should work the same. This is safe, but by measure of precaution, the very way of doing it is by putting a series one megohm resistor in the link. The exact value is not important. Just a big value 1/4W resistor to protect yourself in case of a malfunction of your soldering iron and the like.

    Besides, I am not an expert in growing green. I am just a technologist in electronics. This series is meant to be a think-tank more than a proper tutorial. But I have experimented with different house plants with satisfying results.
