    If sucker leaves are covering bud tops just tuck them under, sucker leaves are important. Pluck them when they are %80 dead or more

    Hi Bib. I'd avoid it where possible. If you have some whispy weedy growth beneath the canopy that needs lollipopped then do that. Bit if poss avoid topping any heads.
